Google releases Chrome for iOS

At the Google I/O developer conference today, Vice President of Chrome Brian Rakowski announced the availability of Google’s Chrome browser for the iPhone and iPad, making its first debut on iOS. Rakowski said that Chrome will be available for iOS 4.3 and higher devices and that it will be available starting today. Chrome will also support Chrome sync, a feature that will allow users to sync all their tabs, bookmarks, and credentials across devices. Rakowski illustrated the functionality by opening tabs on Chrome browser from his MacBook, Chromebook, Android smartphone, Android tablet, and an iPhone. The folks over at Google Chrome also confirmed the announcement by tweeting, “You asked, we listened… Introducing Chrome for iPhone & iPad, bringing your web to iOS 4.3 and higher devices?.
