Vimeo Now Lets Users Stream To Multiple Platforms Simultaneously

It is obvious that YouTube is currently the king when it comes to online videos, and while platforms like Vimeo and Dailymotion are still alive and well, it’s hard to not associate online videos with YouTube, although some platforms such as Facebook are trying to become the de facto platform for video watching.That being said, it seems that Vimeo is trying to approach this a little differently than the rest. In an announcement on its blog, Vimeo has revealed new tools that allow users to stream to multiple platforms simultaneously. With this new tool, users on Vimeo who live stream will also be able to stream onto platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Periscope, and more.According to Vimeo, “Live streaming across multiple destinations, or ‘simulcasting,’ is one of the best ways to reach a wider audience, reduce bandwidth, and simplify your workflow.
