The iPhone X is the first smartphone from Apple with an OLED display. It’s also the most expensive smartphone that Apple has ever sold with the base model starting at $999. That certainly doesn’t mean all iPhones will cost this much going forward. According to reports, Apple is going to launch a new 6.1 inch iPhone later this year which will feature an LCD display and will cost under $700. It’s expected to be a hit, shipping more than 100 million units. At this price point it may just be priced to replace the iPhone 8. Apple’s new iPhones aren’t due until the fall this year so we’re certainly going to hear a lot more speculation about the 2018 iPhones.
