China's ZTE says is trusted partner after U.S. concern

HTC hasn’t fared well in the smartphone market over the past few years and after having sold off much of its smartphone division to Google, some top positions at what’s left behind seem to become redundant. HTC has confirmed today that Chialin Chang, the President of Smartphone and Connected Devices Business, has left the company effective immediately. He has previously served HTC as the company’s chief financial officer. HTC hasn’t given a lot of details about what led to his position being terminated, the official press release only mentions that Chang has decided to move on from the company because of his “personal career plan.”The press release doesn’t mention if a replacement is being hired for his position which had led to speculation that Chang might have left the company because the position had become redundant. One would have expected the company to have quickly arranged for a replacement once it found out that Chang wanted to leave but that doesn’t
